Jalyarang is a very basic instrument.It contains of different sizes of steel cups filled with different amount of water which when hitted with a steel or iron or copper stick in a chorus flow it has a beautifuk sound.

The jaltarang is a melodic percussion instrument originating from the Indian subcontinent. It consists of a set of ceramic or metal bowls tuned with water. The bowls are played by striking the edge with beaters, one in each hand. Its found in book Manoj 'Vatsyayanas kamsutra' as playing on musical glasses filled with water. It is one of the 64 Arts and Science to be studied by a maiden.
