Answer:
Jal Tarang is an Indian melodic percussion instrument in which there are 15–22 bowls filled with water of varying amounts. It is composed of the set of metal bowls or otherwise ceramic. These bowls are generally filled with water and then bowls are played with the help of wooden beaters striking on the edge of the bowls.
how it works:- The cup vibrates when you strike it. The vibrating cup causes the air column to vibrate and the vibration of the column produces sound. Now, a shorter column will produce a sound of a higher pitch due to it's small size. In simpler terms, the source of the sound is the mallet,The oscillator is the bowl filled with water And medium is air.The only thing which changes with each bowl in this process is the oscillator or more simply, the amount of water. Difference in the amount of water molecules which pushes the surrounding air particles creates the difference in the perceived pitch.Varying the volume of water in the cups can change the pitch of the sound.
