"Spinal cord carries nerve impulses to and from the brain. It basically is a platform where body parts send messages and receives them accordingly.
It together with the peripheral nervous system controls the motor functions, sensory functions and the autonomic functions.
Examples of some actions which are controlled by spinal cord are- muscle movements in the body, controls sensation of pain, temperature and touch.
