1. Seeds: the high yielding variety seeds are not in the reach of these farmers thus they have to use the leftover seeds which are less fertile than the HYV.
2. Pesticides: these people do not have enough money to buy pesticides to protect their crops from the attack of various viruses.
3. Technology: as modern technology is costly the small and marginal farmers are not able to buy them thus their contribution to the production remains fluctuated.
The following are the steps taken by the government of India to solve these problems:
1. The government has initiated various schemes to provide loans to these farmers.
2. They are provided with the facility of marketing; as the government has created markets to buy their product on reasonable rates.
