Thallophytes are polyphyletic group of non-mobile organisms which include fungi, lichen, algae and ocassionally bryophytes, bacteria, slime moulds.

Bryophytes include the various mosses and liverworts that are commonly found growing in moist and shady areas in the hills.Bryophyptes are also called amphibians of plant kingdom.

The pteridophytes include horsetails and ferns. These are used for medicinal purpose or soil binders. They are also frequently grown as ornamentals...
