Thallophyta

1. This plant group is also called Algae. The members of this group contains chlorophyll.

2. They have a body which is thalloid and simple.

3. Their habitat is mainly aquatic which may be both fresh water or marine.

4. They do not have the vascular tissues.

5. Examples : Chlamydomonas, Chara, Spirogyra, etc.

Bryophyta

1. The members of this group are mainly terrestrial and grows in moist or humid places.

2. Since these plants are dependent on both soil and water, so they are regarded as amphibians of the kingdom of plant.

3. Examples : Funaria, Merchantia.

Pteridophyta

1. These plants has vascular tissues but lacks seeds.

2. Examples : Selaginella, Equisetum.
