1. Tellichery Fort     Thalassery     - Constructed by the British East India Company in 1658 at Thalassery, the fort was meant to protect the company from attack by the local tribes. Thalassery was an important hub for trading spices and timber.

2. Mahim Fort           Mumbai          - Mahim fort was built in 1669 and was once a part of the Bombay Castle. It was crucial trading post for the British East India Company.

3. Fort St. George     Chennai         - This was the first British fortress in India and was built in 1644. It was an important trading post and played a very important role in spreading the British influence throughout India.

4. Fort William           Kolkata          - Built in 1696, the fort was severely damaged in the Battle of Plassey and as rebuilt by Robbery Clive.

5. Anjengo Fort         Varkala           - Built in 1696, this fort was the first permanent trading post established by the British East India Company in the Malabar Coast.
