Antibiotics are one of the most important medicine in the modern medical field.

But some antibiotics are made out of illegal drugs which are harmful for the human body and as well as for the livestock.

These antibiotics are mainly used for the fast growth of livestock which is ethically wrong and it is against the nature's law.

That's why these antibiotics are now banned in most of the developed countries in the world.

Some of the antibiotics which are banned are given below with appropriate reasons :

i) Propoxyphene is banned in many countries. It is a painkiller. It was banned because Propoxyphene caused heart problems like it disrupted the heart-rhythm process.

ii) Rimonabant is another drug or antibiotic which has been banned. People used this medicine to reduce their body weight. But it was banned in many countries because people used it for attempting suicides.

iii) Fenfluramine is another such drug which has been banned by U.S. This was banned because of resulting in heart problems like valve diseases.

iv) Rosiglitazone was banned by UK. This antibiotic is used in Type 2 Diabetes. It was banned because it was reported that use of this drug causes stroke.
