  1. Aryabhata (476–550 CE) was the first of the major mathematician-astronomers from the classical age of Indian mathematics and Indian astronomy. His works include the Āryabhaṭīya (which mentions that in 3600 Kaliyuga, 499 CE, he was 23 years old) and the Arya-siddhanta.Aryabhata gave the world the digit "0" (zero) for which he became immortal.
  2.  Srinivasa Ramanujan Aiyangar; (22 December 1887 – 26 April 1920) was an Indian mathematician who lived during the British Rule in India. Though he had almost no formal training in pure mathematics, he made substantial contributions to mathematical analysis, number theory, infinite series, and continued fractions, including solutions to mathematical problems then considered unsolvable. Ramanujan initially developed his own mathematical research in isolation: according to Hans Eysenck: "He tried to interest the leading professional mathematicians in his work, but failed for the most part. What he had to show them was too novel, too unfamiliar, and additionally presented in unusual ways; they could not be bothered". Seeking mathematicians who could better understand his work, in 1913 he began a postal partnership with the English mathematician G. H. Hardy at the University of Cambridge, England. Recognizing Ramanujan's work as extraordinary, Hardy arranged for him to travel to Cambridge. In his notes, Hardy commented that Ramanujan had produced groundbreaking new theorems, including some that "defeated me completely; I had never seen anything in the least like them before",and some recently proven but highly advanced results.
  3. Satyendra Nath Bose FRS was an Indian mathematician and physicist specialising in theoretical physics. He is best known for his work on quantum mechanics in the early 1920s, collaboration with Albert Einstein in developing the foundation for Bose–Einstein statistics and the theory of the Bose–Einstein condensate.
  4. Shakuntala Devi was an Indian writer and mental calculator, popularly known as the "Human Computer". Devi strove to simplify numerical calculations for students. Her talent earned her a place in the 1982 edition of The Guinness Book of World Records.
  5. Varāhamihira, also called Varāha or Mihira, was a Hindu astronomer and polymath who lived in Ujjain. He was born in the Avanti region, roughly corresponding to modern-day Malwa, to Adityadasa. According to one of his own works, he was educated at Kapitthaka.

Any 5 mathematicians are listed below-

1. Pythagoras- He was a Greek philosopher and his political teachings were quite renowned. He was the founder of the Pythagoras theory. He was very fond of numbers.

2. Leonhard Euler- He was a unique mathematician as he lost his eyesight in his late fifties but that did not decrease his productivity. Euler's number was his invention and sudoku is his contribution to the world.

3. Aryabhata- He was an Indian mathematician and an astronomer. His valuable contribution included the invention of zero that forms the basis in the world of mathematics.

4. Archimedes- He helped the king of Syracuse with complicated mathematical problems.

5. Leibniz- His contribution involves the invention of calculus to the world. It is said that Sir Isaac Newton also cooperated with this invention along with Leibniz.
