In my locality, water is being wasted in below scenarios:
Municipality taps: There are few broken taps where there is water leakage. We know that each drop of water make an ocean. So steps need to be taken to fix the tap.
Rain water wastage: Huge amount of rain water is being wasted in few of the houses which do not have the facility of storing rain water. With proper construction, rain water could be saved.
Water overflow: In few of the houses, they lift water stored in the underground tanks to the top level tank. But they fail to switch off the motor at the correct time. Overflowing water is mere a waste. This has to be avoided.
Water is wasted in the following areas:
1. In the public water supply
2. In the kitchen and the bath
In the water supply water is wasted due to lack of maintenance.
The tape or the switch remains broken and it causes unnecessary flow.
In the kitchen and the bath, there are reservoirs with leakage.
