The floods are occurred recently in kerala.Begining on 15th august 2018,several floods affected the south indian state of kerala, due to unusually high rainfall during the monsoon season.It was the worst worst flooding in kerala in nearly a century.Over 483 people died,15 people are missing.Atleast a million people were evacuated mainly from chengannuru,pandana,edanad tarantula,kozhe cherry, ayiroor, ranni, pandalam, kuttanad, aluva,eloor and few places invypin island. all 14 districts of the state were placed on red alert. According to the kerala govt 1/6th of total population of kerala has been directly affected by floods and related incidents.The indian govt had declared it a level 3 calamity.It is the worst flood in kerala after the great flood of99 that happen in 1994.
