No of my family member was found with cancer, anemia or infections which can be discovered by through the blood test report
From the blood report I learnt about the contents in the blood like plasma which is the liquid component of blood which carries the white blood cells and red blood cells and platelets.
CBC ( Complete blood count) blood test measures the several component of our blood like RBC count ,white blood cells, platelets ,hemoglobin etc.
It helps in detecting wide range of problems like anemia ,infections etc.
Plasma protein and plasma sugar test are different and does not come under CBC.
Blood has four main components:
- Plasma
- RBC
- WBC / Leukocytes
- Platelets
Plasma- It is the liquid part of the blood which contains water ,protein, sugar, fat etc. It makes up 55% of the total blood volume. Its main function is transporting blood cells, nutrients, waste products ,antobodies etc to different parts of our body.
RBC- Most abundant cell in blood are responsible for the red color of the blood. They contain hemoglobin , a protein which helps transport oxygen from the lungs to various parts of the body and carbon dioxide back to the lungs for exhalation.
WBC- Called leukocytes just makes up 1% of our blood and helps in fighting various infections in the body.Their number increases when there is any infection in the body.
Pletelets- Not actually cells, they are pieces of large cells and help in the clotting of blood.
