Collect wet kitchen waste in a container and dry waste in another container. Now dig a pit in the ground
and pour the dry and wet wastes in it. Cover the pit with a layer of soil. After 2–3 months, remove the layer
of the soil. What do you observe? Can you tell the role of microbes in it?

Fill another container with dry waste like dried leaves, sawdust, newspaper chunks, packaging material etc. Close both containers to avoid infiltration of bugs, flies, and worms. Step 3- Construct Your Composting Bin: Select a container - it can be anything, from a bucket to a normal dustbin or a garden pot.
