18/4/ cheques in hand a/c dr 15,000

to Atul 15,000

19/4/ bank a/c dr 15,000

to cheques in hand a/c 15,000

so 1st entry cash or bank not effects so no entry in cash book

2nd bank is increasing so debit the cash book to cheques in hand in bank column
