There are always two sides to this question. While many think that your older parents or grand parents will end up living all alone at a retirement community, the truth actually may be quite different.

As much as we love our parents, & grandparents, we cannot afford to pay their bills on top of feeding our own family. For a common person earning $40k to $60k, and a family of 4 and parents/grandparents to look after, it won’t be possible to come up with the money at least half your yearly income to care for them in every manner.Any hired help would not be able to fill your shoes & they also don’t come in cheap.

So it is better to prorate all the costs and make a decision to put your folks in a retirement community where all you need to do is make a financial contribution and the rest is taken care of by the community.Your folks would receive the best healthcare 24/7 and be in the company of their new friends who would motivate, support and be with each other, every day!

A retirement home like Hollenbeck Palmswould certainly clear your doubts and give you a fair idea of what a Retirement community is like.
