Forests are separated into rainforest, temperate forest, chaparral, and taiga; grasslands are divided into savanna and temperate grasslands; and theaquatic biome is split into freshwaterand marine. TERRESTRIAL BIOMES: Tundra.

Biome: A geographic area for the living species that is made up of many ecosystems is called as a biome.

Terrestrial biome: The area of land with similar climate including similar species and types of plants and animals is called a terrestrial biome.  

Different terrestrial biomes are defined in terms of the plants, trees, shrubs, and grasses present there.

There are 7 types of terrestrial biomes. They are,
