Colligative Properties:- It is a property of a Solution which is dependent on relative number of particles of solute.

Features of colligative properties are as follows-

1. It is not dependent on nature of solute.

2. Number of solute particles is directly proportional to colligative property.

3. Elevation in boiling point of solvent.

4. Vapour pressure of solvent decreases.

5. Also it is directly proportional to the number of molecules present in the electrolytic solution.
