Colligative properties of solutions are properties that depend upon theconcentration of solute molecules or ions, but not upon the identity of the solute. Colligative properties include freezing point depression, boiling point elevation, vapor pressure lowering, and osmotic pressure.

Hey !!

COLLIGATIVE PROPERTIES

Certain properties of solutions depend only on the number of particles of the solute (molecule or ions) and do not depend on the nature of solute, such properties are called colligative properties.

These are:-

  • Relative lowering of vapur pressure
  • Depression in freezing point
  • Elevation of boiling point
  • Osmotic pressure of the solution.

GOOD LUCK !!
