Colloidal solution appears to be homogeneous but actually it is heterogenous. This happens due to a effect called as Tyndall effect.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
- Size of colloidal particles is so small that we cannot see it with the naked eyes.
- Here, these particles can easily scatter a beam of visible light.
- So, this scattering of a beam of light is called the Tyndall effect.
