France invaded the Vietnam in 1882 and forced the Vietnam emperor to accept the France establishment and shouted to reshape social and cultural life of Vietnamese.  

The life of Vietnamese became miserable after the French colonisation because of the economic measures that imposed by French rule benefited only to the French and a small group of wealthy Vietnamese.  

Some worst consequences of French colonisation in Vietnam were mentioned below.

• Peasants lost their lands to landlords and wealthy people.
