First of all colour of
copper sulphate solution = blue
iron sulphate solution = green
Now in the reactivity series Fe> Cu
Thus when we dip an iron nail in a copper sulphate solution, the iron displaces the copper from its salt solution and forms iron sulphate.
Thus the colour changes from blue to green.
That's a chemistry answer from a commerce student.

colour of copper sulphate changes when react with iron nail this is because
CuSo4 + fe ---->FeSo4. +Cu
as the above reaction shows that iron(fe) is more reactive than copper that's why iron is able to displace copper from it's solution so the colour of copper sulphate (blue) changes as the product formed FeSo4 (slight green).
