India is a country with diversities of religions, landforms, etc. The national flag of India is popularly known as "Tiranga" because it consists of three bands of colours and each colour have a very important meaning.
1. Saffron - This colour forms the topmost band of our national flag. It represents the strength of country and tells how courageous our country is.
2. White - This colour forms the middle band of our respected national flag. It represents the truthfulness and peace-loving nature of our country.
3. Green - This beautiful colour make its place at the lowermost part of our flag. It represents the fertility of the land of India along with the greenery in every part of the country.
In the second band there consists a circle with 24 spokes. It is named Dharma Chakra. It is of great importance to all Indians. It is also known as Ashoka Chakra because it often seen on the edicts made by Ashoka. One of the most important and popular among such edicts is the Lion Capital of Ashoka.
