Some information about infinitives

  • Infinitives are a part of NonFinite verbs

Non finite verbs are that verbs that donot do the function of Main Verb .

  • Non finite verbs are Three types -

  • Gerund :-

It is " ing form/ present participle " form of Verb and used as Noun In a sentence .

eg: walking is a good exercise.

Here, walking is a Gerundial Noun.

  • Participle:-

  • It is further divided into two parts-

1. present participle:

It is "ing form/present Participle" form of verb and use as an Adjective in a sentence.
