Combustion Of Fuels !!

Burning of a fuel in oxygen or air is called Combustion. The Condition necessary for Combustion are :-

  • A combustile substance (a fuel).
  • A supporter of Combustion (Oxygen).
  • Ignition Temperature.

The minimum temperature at which a fuel catches fire is called its Ignition temperature. The ignition Temperature of a log of wood/Coal is higher then a splinter of wood / Charcoal.
