  • Let the no . of coin of 2 rupees. be x .
  •      and  ''           ''         5   ''   ''        = y.

Then

x + y = 36.....(i)   .... multiply by 2. we get,

2 x + 2 y = 72...... (ii)

The value is 84.

Now

2 x + 5 y = 84 ....(iii)

Subtract (ii) from (iii)  we get,

3 y = 12

So

y = 4 and x = 32

No . of  5 rupees. coin = y = 4

Thank u.

let 2 rupee=x, let 5 rupee=y, so, x + y = 36,  x = 36-y therefore, 2x+5y=84,   2(36-y)+5y=84 =72-2y+5y=84,   -2y+5y=84-72 ,   3y=12 y=4.
