BIOLOGICAL NITROGEN FIXERS- Some bacteria and blue-green algae living in the soil also fix atmospheric nitrogen as nitrates. These microbes are commonly called BIOLOGICAL NITROGEN FIXERS.

LACTOBACILLUS- Lactobacillus is widely used in making curd, cheese and paneer by the action of this bacteria on milk.
