Blood is liquid and red, just like a red river. And for humans without blood there is no life because there is nothing to transport nutrients and oxygen to the body cells. Hence blood is the red river of life.

blood is called the river of life because our blood inside our body is flowing in a particular direction with oxygenated and deoxygenated bloods .if our heart stops pumping blood and if blood stops flowing the particular person is said to be dead.As river keeps flowing blood is too flowing but a difference it is inside our body....this is the reason it is linked with rivers.
