In his family, Uncle Khosrove is the current owner of the crazy streak but Aram's cousin Mourad is considered to be his successor. Thirdly, he believes that the crazy streak manifests itself in the appearance and personality of the family member in question.

Answer:

The Garoghlanian tribe is from Armenia.  They ended up settling in areas such as Fresno, California.  Part of the tribe's culture is trying to find a sense of placement and self in a new and modern setting.  The Garoghlanian tribe is a group that operates in this modern predicament while clinging to values of the past, of their native Armenia. The culture of these people, known for their honesty, is at the heart of the story.  Even during their prosperous times, the tribe took pride in their honesty. No member of their tribe could think of taking undue advantage of anyone; stealing was considered despicable among them. Hospitality is also an important function in the Armenian culture.  Social gatherings revolve around large amounts of food. The religion of most Armenian people is Christianity, which is structured around forgiveness of sins and, in this story focuses on tolerance.  So therefore, when the horse is returned, the farmer does not tell the Gargohlanian family that the two boys had the horse all along.

Mourad was considered the black seep of the family because he was an eccentric boy. He stole John Byro's white horse for riding and put the family's reputation in danger by this act. However, John Byro did not make it an issue.
