Answer:

a) Ideal storage temperatures for milk and dairy products are 34-38°F. Under ideal refrigeration, most pasteurized milk will remain fresh for 2-5 days after its sell-by date. Once opened, pasteurized milk should be used as soon as possible for best quality and taste.

b) Vacuum packing reduces atmospheric oxygen, limiting the growth of aerobic bacteria or fungi, and preventing the evaporation of volatile components. It is also commonly used to store dry foods over a long period of time, such as cereals, nuts, cured meats, cheese, smoked fish, coffee, and potato chips (crisps).

c) Raw food and cooked food should be stored separately in the fridge. Bacteria from raw food can contaminate cold cooked food, and the bacteria can multiply to dangerous levels if the food is not cooked thoroughly again. Always store raw food in sealed or covered containers at the bottom of the fridge.
