- His daughter’s name was Marian and father was Pericles and he did not see his daughter right from her birth because he was facing his enemy as he was running away from his enemy and ran and was facing some ‘miseries and threats’ on the land and sea.
- It is in the act V of “Shakespeare’s play, Pericles”, Prince of Tyre which Pericles and finds out that the ‘dancer and singer’ performing before him is but his daughter.
- The dancing girl is reminded him of his ‘wife Thaisa’, he talks to that girl, and is overjoyed about finding that ‘Marian is his daughter’ and while giving birth to her, her mother had died.
