Comparing the given quadratic equationn with ax² + bx + c =0 , we get
a=1, b=-1 and c=-1
Using discriminant formula
D=b²-4ac
=(-1)²-4(1)(-1)
=1+4
=5
Here, D>0
Therefore, we say that the quadratic equation has two disnict real roots in this case.
