Dr.Ambedkar was the chairman of the Drafting Committee.He is also known as the Father of Indian Constitution. He was a social revolutionary, thinker and agitator against caste divisions and caste-based inequalities. Dr. Ambedkar played a key role in the making of the constitution but had a different understanding of how inequalities could be removed. He also served as nation's first Law Minister.

Answer: Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was born on 14th April 1891 and died on 6th December 1956. He was India's first law and justice minister after Independence. He fought for the rights of the Dalits and women and also he was an important member who helped to form the constitution. He wanted each and every citizen of India to get equal rights to education. For him, education is the only way by which equality can be spread in India. He wanted to end the discrimination on the basis of caste and religion. In order to bring equality, he proposed the system of reservation for the low caste and for the women. He wanted India to progress and not lag behind.
