Step-by-step explanation:

In a equation, ax² + bx +c,

∆ = b² - 4ac

If ∆ = 0, the roots are real and equal

If ∆ > 0, the roots are real and unequal

If ∆ < 0, the roots are unreal

(I) 2x² - 3x + 5

∆ = (-3)² - 4(2)(5)

= 9 - 40

= -31

∆ < 0, the roots are unreal

(II) 3x + \frac{25}{3x} = 0

 \frac{9 {x}^{2} + 25}{3x} = 0

9 {x}^{2} + 25 = 3x

9 {x}^{2} - 3x + 25 = 0

∆ = (-3)² - 4(9)(25)

= 9 - 900

= -891

Since ∆ < 0, the roots are unreal
