However when his daughter questions his ending to the story of Roger Shunk. Jo held the wizard in high respect. He could accomplish anything because of his supernatural abilities. Her father's story was not accepted by her. She claimed that Roger Skunk's mother was struck on the head by the magician, who did not transform the tiny skunk back.

Jo finds Jack's conclusion to the narrative to be strange. The magician performs miracles in her lucid dreams. She finds it difficult to believe that the wizard consented to fulfill her wishes after the mother of the young skunk smacked him directly on the head with her umbrella.
