Old R = RHO × length/ area

new R = RHO × 2L /a/2

new R = 4×RHO/area

therefore, new resistance becomes 4 times the old one.

Answer:

4 times

Explanation:

As length is doubled the area of cross section will become half to keep the volume same

A¹l¹= A²l²( these are nt exponential values just the representatio of 2 cases)

Know use the main formula to calculate the new resistance

R = rho× length/area

And put 2L instead of L

And A/2 instead of A
