Answer :- option (a)
common cold is caused by virus.

→ Antibiotics prevents the harmful bacteria from creating their cell wall. Because of antibiotics, the bacteria are unable to make their cell wall and thus, the WBCs are able to kill the bacteria easily and quickly.
Human calls and viruses don't make cell wall, so the antibiotics doesn't cause any harm to them. Thus, antibiotics are helpful in bacterial diseases only and not in viral disease.

→Some other diseases caused by viruses :-

» Influenza
» Dengue fever
» AIDS
» HIV
