Given :- In a class there are seven students (including boys and girls) A, B, C, D, E, F and G. They sit on three benches I, II and III. Such that at least two students on each bench and at least one girl on each bench.

  • C who is a girl student, does not sit with A, E and D.
  • F the boy student sits with only B.
  • A sits on the bench I with his be st friends.
  • G sits on the bench III.
  • E is the brother of C.

Solution :-

Statement 1) :- C who is a girl student, does not sit with A, E and D.

Conclusion (A) :-

  • C is a girl => C sits with B , F or G .

Statement 2) :- F the boy student sits with only B.

Conclusion (B) :-

  • F = Boy .
  • given that, at least one girl sits on each bench.
  • So, B = Girl .
  • Also from Conclusion (A) , C sits with G only now.
  • G is a boy .

Statement 3) :- A sits on the bench I with his be st friends and G sits on the bench III.

Conclusion (C) :-

  • A = Bench I .
  • G = Bench III .

Statement 4) :- E is the brother of C .

Conclusion (D) :-

  • E = Boy.

therefore, from all conclusions we have :-

  • Bench I = A , E or D => Since E is a boy, A or D could be girls .
  • Bench II = F and B { from conclusion B } .
  • Bench III = G and C { from conclusion B } .

Hence, required answer is either 3 or 4 .
