An arithmetic progression is a set of numbers which differ from the previous them with a constant value.To find common difference for the A.P. a18 - a14 = 32,

Let Common Difference be 'd',

a18 = a + 17d,

a14 = a + 13d,

a + 17d - ( a + 13d) = 32,

On simplifying further we get,

17d - 13d =32,

d = 32/4,

d = 8.

Therefore, the common difference of the given A.P. is 8.
