The history of India and Africa are quite related. The similarities between the two countries can be seen in terms of the colonization of both by a common country (Britain). Moreover, both countries were rich in their natural resources. Thus, the effects on both nations are similar in one or another way. The fol-lowing are the common threads on the literature, history and culture of both.

1. Literature: both nations gave patronage to the literature in different languages.

2. History: both were conquered by a common power, due to imperialist policy.

3. Culture: the people of both countries gave shelter to many diverse and linguistic groups. Thus, people follow a number of religions in these countries.
