Hemoglobin and chlorophyll have similar structures. The main difference is that hemoglobin is built around iron (Fe), where as chlorophyll is built around magnesium,(Mg). The primary function for hemoglobin is to transport oxygen from the lungs to other parts of the body. Hemoglobin is composed of four elements-carbon, hydrogen,oxygen and nitrogen. All four are organized around iron. Chlorophyll is composed of the same elements,which are organized around magnesium.

The similarity between Chlorophyll and hemoglobin,

1. Both chlorophyll and hemoglobin has four pyrole rings.

2. Both are composed of elements such as “carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen and oxygen”.

3. Both are responsible for coloring, as chlorophyll gives plant green color and hemoglobin gives blood red color.

4. Both are considered as fundamental molecule of life because, photosynthesis is the most fundamental function of plant and without chlorophyll it cannot perform photosynthesis. On other hand, the hemoglobin in blood is used for carrying  oxygen throughout body.
