2 chambered heart is found in fishes as they do not need high energy level to maintain its body temperature so it can allow mixing of blood
3 chamber heart is found in amphibians and reptiles as they can allow some kind of mixing of blood of the right and the left side of the heart same explanation as fishes

In 3 chambered heart , there are 2auricles and 1 ventricle . While , in 4 chambered heart ,there are 2auricles and 2 ventricles.
In 3 chambered heart , both oxygenated and deoxygenated blood gets mixed in ventricle.
While , In 4chambered heart ,there is no such mixing of oxygenated and deoxygenated blood as there is separate path .
Due to mixing of blood ,there is decrease in efficiency of heart and so, 3chambered heart is less efficient than 4chambered heart .
