Here in the States, the Mohengo-Daro and Harappan civilizations are scarcely mentioned. I believe it is one of the four cradles of civilization and is geographically important as it was on a major trade route. Seals from archaeological finds indicate trade was happening between them and Mesopotamia. And although this was a civilization that was built upon commerce - it was also a civilization that seemed to be without a well known ruler or any stories of proud military conquest.


That alone speaks to the depth and contrasting data between the two civilizations. And yet, both seem to have peacefully co-existed and traded - perhaps even in people!
