it's the Prime Minister of India who has more power. The Prime Minister of India is the Head of the Union Government, as distinct from the President of India, who is the Head of State.

Comparatively, president is indirectly powerful because he has all powers not prime Minister but he works only on the advice of the prime Minister that is why it is said that prime Minister is more powerful because he guides the president.
