Brobdingnag farmer

He was the first master of Gulliver in Brobdingnag. He spoke to Gulliver and showed that he was willing to believe what tiny Gulliver was saying. He treated him gently in the beginning. Later he realized that he could make money by displaying the tiny person so he took him around Brobdingnag to earn profit. He exploited Gulliver and treated him as a labourer. He nearly starved Gulliver to death. He was an average Brobdingnagian and did not have any great gifts or intelligence. He wielded power over Gulliver because of his immense size.

Glumdalclitch

She was the farmer's nine-year old daughter. She was forty feet tall. She was Gulliver's friend and nursemaid. At night she used to put him to sleep safely in her closet and during the day she taught him the Brobdingnagian language. She was skilled at sewing. She was fond of dressing him up and made many sets of new clothes for him. She was invited by the Queen to be his babysitter. She performed her duty sincerely. She considered Gulliver to be a living doll.
