Hope it works Pls mark it as brainliest

Ruling party is the party/alliance which gets more than half of the seats in a Lok/Vidhan Sabha. It is the party responsible for handling the governance of a region like development, human development, strengthening the relationships with other regions etc.

Opposition parties are all the other parties/alliances present in the Lok/Vidhan Sabha. Their work is to question, criticize and blame the ruling party for their wrongdoings, so that the ruling party can improve.

The party that gains majority of seats and forms the government is called ruling party and the other party that does not gain majority and criticises government policies from outside is known as opposition party
