Tropical Rainforests

Hot and wet. Tropical rain forests are ecosystems located near the Earth's equator that receive between 60 and 160 inches of rain every year.

Answer:

Forest : Forests are essential for life on earth. Three hundred million people worldwide live in forests and 1.6 billion depend on them for their livelihoods. Forests also provide habitat for a vast array of plants and animals, many of which are still undiscovered. Eg: Mammal, bird, Reptile etc.

Desert : Some desert habitats are short-lived—springing up to brighten the landscape only when the rains come. Many desert plants, like cacti in the Americas, are able to absorb and store water, letting them survive long periods of drought. Eg: camels, Desert fox, Fennec fox etc.

Similarity : Deserts and forests have two very distinct types of biomes. While both contain all the elements necessary to support life (water, vegetation, and heat), they do so in different ways. Due to these differences, the life that develops in each environment is very different and adapted for survival in their biome. (biome means a large naturally occurring community of flora and fauna occupying a major habitat).
