Monoculture:-It involves the cultivation of a single crop over a large area for several consecutive years but it increase soil erosion.
Mixed Cropping:-Mixed cropping, also known as polyculture, inter-cropping, or co-cultivation.
It involves the cultivation of different crops in a same area.
This technique is better than Monoculture.
It gives food security &economic growth.

Monocultures are the one which is described as the opposite of biodiversity.
They are the single species that works out for commercial purposes mainly such as pine forest or sugarcane.
In mixed farming, the animals and crops are put up in a single location and then the harvesting is done in the same field under same weather condition.
