In mendeleef's periodic table all the elements were arranged in the increasing order of their atomic weight. In the modern periodic table elements are arranged in the increasing order of atomic number

In Mendeleev's periodic table the elements are arranged in the increasing order of atomic masses. On the other hand, in the modern periodic table the elements are arranged in the increasing order of atomic numbers which is more fundamental property than atomic mass.
