Comparison and contrast of the carbon and oxygen cycle

  • Oxygen supports the cell of the animal body to function normally and Carbon supports the cell of the parts of plants to function normally.

  • The cycle of both carbon dioxide and oxygen on Earth is dependent on plants and animals as Plants empower and release the oxygen that animals and other living organisms require for survival whereas, Animals and other living things contribute to the carbon dioxide that plants require for making their own food.

  • The processes like cellular respiration in animals and photosynthesis in plants are involved in the carbon cycle and the oxygen cycle because they both need carbon and oxygen for completing their mechanisms of activity like during the process of photosynthesis, carbon is taken by the plant which is converted into energy.
