phatik was lazy and was naughty boy on the other hand makhan was obidient . he was fauvoured alot by his mother unlike phatik .

homecoming is the best suitable title to the story . phatik the boy leaves his home because he was unloved and as in a miserable condition .tyen he went to calcutta with his uncle where he had problem in communicating to his aunt and he dint had any friends , he wished to return home ,this lead to the title homecoming.
